i was able to get disccloud running on a cheap emachine box that we have booted via usb on esxi.

esxi requires your files to be in ovf format so all you have to do is download the ovftool from the vmware web site and convert the .vmx file over to ovf.

here&#039;s the link for the ovf tool to download.

remember, the ovftool is a command line tool so all you do is just go into your directory where you have the .vmx file you want to convert and run this cmd;

ovftool  &quot;somefile&quot;.vmx &quot;newfile&quot;.ovf

once you&#039;ve done that, all you need to do is just copy the file to your esx host via the vi client (which runs only in windoze unfortunately.)]]></description>
