viewport lock and unlock

I use autocad 2009.My dwg's consist of xrefs,wblocks,and everything in between. In paperspace, my viewport wont register when I pull up my properties dialog box (where it says display lock (yes/no)and in the selection heading at the top.Can you help me fix this problem and can you give me an alternate command to access this display lock/unlock property.

Anyone else had this problem, our office has just been struct by it, doesn’t matter what you do to the VP, what layer it is on, when selected it does not show up in the side properties box.

Anyone with a clue to this????

Yes, I faced the same problem but fortunately my colleague guided me to the solution. This is what you need to do:

Type command MVIEW

then select Lock (from the options)

then select Off (from the options)

then select the outline of the viewport, press enter and you are done. Your viewport is unlocked and it will start appearing in the properties box from where you can lock it again if you want to.
