CAN I SEE THE ACTUAL CHANGES SOMEONE MAKES, ON A SECOND OPENING OF THE SAME WORKBOOK (SHEET) ON A DIFFERENT COMPUTER OR (DIFF MONITOR OF THE SAME USER). I WANT TO OPEN THE SAME WORKBOOK ON TWO DIFFERENT MONITORS (OR COMPUTERS) AND TRACK (SEE) THE CHANGES LIVE (OR NEAR LIVE) ON THE SECOND. THE SECOND CAN BE READ-ONLY.

I would say it’s short of real-time, but to do what you want you need to share the workbook (this is different than just having the file sit on a server that multiple people access) and then use Excel’s built in “Track Changes” option. I’m sure a simple search on Microsoft.com will shed some light on that.

    Tmore: There is a nice freeware program called TeamViewer at http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx that I think can do what you want, as well as a lot more. It is a remote control/assistance/presentation/monitoring program. It must be installed and running on both machines and works over the internet or your LAN. There would probably be some delays over the internet, but it should get pretty close to real-time on you LAN. Hope this helps. edchau3
