View spool file without having to window left/right
While viewing a spooled file is there a way to look at it in one window -- no matter the size of the screen, we have to window left or right -- is there a way to limit the size so that the output displays without having to window?

The only thing I know that you can do is to set the display size to 27 X 132 in client access. However, even with this setting, you still have to scroll left and right while viewing any spool files wider than 132 characters.
If this gets to be too annoying, you can drag the spool file to your desktop and open it in WordPad.

Is there a way to "limit the size" of what? The printed lines? Since display sizes are limited to 132 characters maximum, the display is already limited. As for limiting the size of print lines, yes, you limit them by creating printer files with widths that you specify. If you want the limit to be 72 characters so it always fits even on an 80-character wide display, then create your printer file with a width of 72.

Configuring the client acess session seems to work wonderfully! — Thanks.
We have Client Access Express and I found something here called the AS400 operations navigator. I was able to open Basic operations and look at all the output — seems to look like a huge garbled page — not properly aligned and several special charaters. It also seems to automatically shut down on me. I am also concerned that it would leave sessions open in the As400 if it shuts down on me — do you know if the navigator would leave as400 sessions open within some not too obvious job if it shuts down automatically?
Is there something special that we need to do to the navigator to have it configured? If so, would this happen in the AS400 world or in the PC world?
You indicate you are using Client Access Express. What OS version is on the system you are connecting too? You may need to up upgrade you software to a more current release or install the service pack for your version. I suspect the Navigator version you have is the problem with characters being displayed incorrectly. I have seen spool files that displayed incorrectly on one version improved by updating the PC version. You can check this web page for service packs IBM Systemi Access Home page
