Vertex software upgrade to 3.1 on the AS/400
Does anyone know where I can get/find detailed instructions on upgrading my Vertex Payroll Tax Q Series on the AS/400? I am currently running V6R1 OS/400 and I've never worked with that software before. I'd be starting out unzipping a file and need to know the steps from start to finish. Thanks!

Does Vertex not provide instructions for upgrading their software?
The instructions are rather confusing for someone who had not done it before.
Understood.Does the documentation indicate how they’re sending the update? Specifically, is the new version a save file wrapped in a .zip file?
If unzipping is the first step, we need to know what was extracted before having a guess at what to do next. I would expect to use some file transfer method to transfer the extracted file to your server. But that assumes the Vertex is a native AS/400 app. If so, there are two common similar directions to go after that. And if not so, there is a different direction altogether. — Tom
