I used to have Verizon DSL but have switched to FiOS. What is the
advantage of DSL over FiOS?

The only advantage of DSL over FiOS would be cost.

FiOS is fiber to the door, so it's going to be very fast.

As they are both Verizon you will have the same level of customer support and service.
