I've crawled all over the web and through scripting references from Adobe. I'm trying to create a border rectangle around whatever I import into Illustrator. It needs to assess the height and width of the imported graphic (which comes in grouped) create the rectangular border that is offset 1/2 an inch (36 points) larger on top and bottom, and 1 inch wider on the sides.
I've got the box script made I just need to fill some cariables with the height and width data of the shape so I can plug it into my box script and add that 1/2 inch and 1 inch difference to those numbers.
I'm in a tight spot and if anyone can offer any help I would GREATLY appreciate it.
