 VB6.EXE: 0X0000005: Access Violation
I have a VB6 app I have been using and updating for several years on an Windows XP. I recently purchased a Windows 7 computer, and it won't build the .exe, I get the error listed above. If I place all the files from the Windows XP computer to and external drive and run the build app on the Windows 7 machine using the extrernal drive, it works fine. When I copy the exact files from the external drive to a folder on the Windows 7 computer, it crashes with the Access Violation error. Help I'm not portable carring a external drive.

This might be a permissions problem. If you want to make changes and builds, you will need full access rights. Win 7 is terrible for that.
