I am trying to convert from a varchar to numeric format using the "Expression" in Visual Studio. =FormatNumber(Fields!wo_udf8.Value) This seems to change the format of the numbers shown, however, when I try to "Sum" the column, I get this error message: Warning [[rsAggregateOfNonNumericData] The Value expression for the textrun ‘wo_udf81.Paragraphs[0].TextRuns[0]’ uses a numeric aggregate function on data that is not numeric. Numeric aggregate functions (Sum, Avg, StDev, Var, StDevP, and VarP) can only aggregate numeric data. C:UserstonyhDocumentsRS ReportsMyReportsMyReportsORD1.rdl 0 0 I am very new to SSRS and have tried using the various functions with no luck. Can anyone please help. Very important report for me to create at this point.
