Application has a personnel file that stores the data and it would be great to be able to ensure that what is entered is a good address.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Could you provide more information about your environment? Do you want to validate an address entered into the iSeries personnel file against entries in the GAL in an exchange server?

Hello ITAddict, Yes, I am on V5R3 iSeries, if we use Single Signon, request the user to type in their email address and have the iSeries verify the email address entered against the GAL in the exchange server. I have been reading on LDAP but not sure how it works. Any assistance would be helpful. Thank you, TPinky

Have you read the IBM book on Single Signon? http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/topic/rzamz/rzamz.pdf There are references to the Active Directory. I do not use this product, so I am not familier with the requirements, but it would seem an interface to Windows Server is a core component of this product.
