We have a couple of users doing that with Vista without any problem, but I think you should perform your own tests with a Vista machine before making your decision.

---------------------------------

Depends on the VPN. If you use a software VPN, you need to make sure it is Vista compatible. If you use a VPN router to your office, you should be fine.

You did not say if you have even tried it yet. Did you try it and get some errors? If you got errors, what were they exactly?

Is your vpn running on a propitiatory client or just windows based? If it is proprietary make sure it works with Vista. General vpn issues can be common no matter what os you are running.

I use 2 vista machines to vpn to server for email. Using Windows VPN had to turn off screensaver to keep connection alive. Just a workaround to something about security and screensavers and stopping network traffic. Still don’t have time to find out why, maybe the answer will show up here! hehe.
