Can I use STRISDB on a machine where the program object exists but the source doesn't?

Hi,

No – the STRISDB command needs the source for an OPM/RPG program. Also bear in mind that it’s possible to use STRISDB with a source which doesn’t match the object – for example the source has been changed after the object was last compiled. For an ILE/RPG program it will depend on how the program was compiled DBGVIEW parameter.

You should be able to use STRDBG regardless of whether you have the source or not.

Martin Gilbert.
