How to use a SAS hard drive from one HP Server to another HP Server?
The scenario is: We are now migrating all the data from One server to new server. But there is not enough space or storage capacity. So we are planing to use an existing SAS drive and Hot-plug into the new server

Software/Hardware used:
OS : WIndows Server 2008 (on both servers), Raid 0

Have you taken all necessary backups before doing all of that. "we are now migrating", what does it mean, will& you people do the job by your own house members/call an expert/representative of HP. For your good concept, please link here for better concepts: http://h20564.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=mmr_kc-0128606

It's not clear what you're trying to accomplish. Do you want to use the space that a migrated drive will provide? Or is the data on the drive expected to be used?

For the space, it's possible that hot-plugging can be made to work.

For the data, I strongly suggest that an empty drive be added and the data be migrated across the network or via some intermediate transport device.

Can you clarify "RAID 0" for the source drive? Was it isolated in a RAID group by itself?

Yes. All necessary backups had been taken. Its just shifting data and You can say its like moving a data from retiring server to new one. The new server does not have enough storage space to hold all the data from Old server. The old server (retiring server) does not need more storage space and New one needs that. So, plan is to move or shift the SAS drives which contains to the new server.
