My overall objective is to avoid any user signon to the AS400 using the user profile format nxxxxxxx
That is possible only by two ways:
1. creating a user profile with format nxxxxxxxx - (which is obviously not possible)
2. creating a user profile with format Qnxxxxxxx - (which allows the signon with nxxxxxxx and needs to be restricted in some way)

I think my question is not clear, Let me elaborate.
For example if I create a user profile with name Q1xxxxxx
I can sign on to AS400 to the same profile with user profile name as 1xxxxxxx
Though, AS400 does not allow any user profile to be created starting with a numeric, but we still can use the profiles for this.
and same is true for passwords as well. However, we can manage it for password if we restricts the character 'Q' in password, this will prevent any password in the format Qnxxxxxxx (where n is a number and x is a character)

Is there any way to restrict the user profile too for the same restriction to avoid any user profile in the format Qnxxxxxx

I hope I clarified the question now.

Thanks for your valuable inputs.
