User profile disabled

Hi again, first off, thanks for your help in my other quests. New problem - Subsystem QSYSWRK disabled user profile USER on device *N. This happens constantly for just this one user. I have changed the PWDEXPITV to *NOMAX but it still happens. I don't know if this is is because of the new version of client access I have loaded on that PC (v7.1) as I have also got an error E0004- Invalid password message but this does not stop access. I enable the passwords and 10 sec later it disables again so the *nomax did not work. Any suggestions would be great. Leo

    Standard questions... What is the QPWDLVL system value? Is USER's Windows profile and password expected to match with your AS/400? Is USER using a mapped drive from Windows to an AS/400 shared directory? What is the iSeries Navigator setting on the Connection tab for 'Signon information'? The password expiration setting on the profile is not likely to have any connection to this. More likely, for some reason an invalid or incorrect password is being sent. What types of QAUDJRN audit journal entries show up related to the disabling? . Tom

    This usually happens because of cached passwords sometimes. Previously mapped using different password and password on Iseries changed and it is using cached password.

    Does the user have there sign on info set up as a macro? Has the password changed? If so they need to change their macro... We have users that do that here, which I'm against for obvious security reasons....but forced to let them.. IS anyone else trying to log into the same user account unsuccessfully and disabling it ?
