 User Name on Printed report in AS/400
AS/400 print errors, AS/400 printing, AS/400 user profiles
We recently created 2 addition printers for AS400 reports. Now the username does not print on the report. How can we get the name back on the report?

820 -9406 and Xerox Dp90's

Without knowing what you mean by “the username does not print on the report”, I can only guess that you had other writers configured to print job (or file) separator pages. That possibly hasn’t been configured for the new printers yet.

Can you describe how the others look and where the ‘username’ prints?

Others may handle it differently, but as a rule I include a program status data structure in the program which contains (among other useful items) the user profile the job/program is running under. I include that as part of the header output in the printer file DDS.
