AS/400: User ID is disabling once every couple of months. May I know the solution to permanently fix? Should I need to check CHGUSRPRF?

In order to fix it, you need to find out why it's getting disabled. Look for T/CP entries in your system audit journal, QAUDJRN. There will be one that marks the user profile as being *DISABLED. The job that disabled the profile will be your first clue. . Immediately be fore the T/CP entry, another audit journal entry should mark activity against the same profile. Usually it will be a T/PW audit entry. But others are possible. . You can use DSPAUDJRNE to locate CP entries. The timestamp on the report will tell you where to look in the audit journal. Use the DSPJRN command to look at the audit entry details. . Tom

If it's not a case of the password expiring you might check to see if you have the Analyze Profile Activity (ANZPRFACT) command running.

DSPUSRPRF XXXXXXXXXX and check Password expiration interval if set to *SYSVAL then check SYSTEM VALUE QPWDEXPITV which will show number of days when password expires if ignored, then after specific number of attempts if setup will disable profile

Note that an expired password doesn't cause a profile to be *DISABLED. -- Tom
