There is no value available on a member profile to defer to group profile settings. Ideally, I could imagine a future change where you could run CHGUSRAUD OBJAUD(*GRPPRF) AUDLVL(*GRPPRF) and thereby inherit from a group. Of course, with as many as sixteen groups, contradictions would need to be resolved.
Without some specification to enable inheritance, the specific settings on a member profile couldn’t override the more general group setting.
For example, different users may share a setting for DATFMT(*SYSVAL). The general default is inherited. Yet any one of them can be set to a specific date format by a setting other than *SYSVAL to override the general default.
