you really SHOULDN’T do this — if someone got access to your computer, they could now login to your system. Places I have worked, you would be held as accountable for their actions as they were.

If you are using a locking twinax-attached terminal and you lock the terminal every time you leave your office (lunch, coffee breaks, meetings in other offices or any other reason), then it’s only a minor security risk.
But if you are using terminal emulator software on a network-attached PC, then it’s almost trivial to grab your password plus your profile. It doesn’t matter if your door is locked or not.
You shouldn’t be logging in through a green-screen signon panel at all in that case. At a minimum, you should be logging in through a network authentication process and using BypassSignon for the terminal emulation connection.
