Answer Wiki:
Hi Surya, I think, You are looking for an automatic way of populating your User name & Password whenever you are trying to login to the AS/400 System. For this, You can Record a Macro and save it on your computer. When ever you open the Navigator, You can play the Recorded Macro. It will populate the User Name, Password & other Recorded Commands as well. Let me know if you need any clarifications on this or if you need any other info related to your requirement. Pradeep.

you really SHOULDN’T do this — if someone got access to your computer, they could now login to your system. Places I have worked, you would be held as accountable for their actions as they were.

If you are using a locking twinax-attached terminal and you lock the terminal every time you leave your office (lunch, coffee breaks, meetings in other offices or any other reason), then it’s only a minor security risk.

But if you are using terminal emulator software on a network-attached PC, then it’s almost trivial to grab your password plus your profile. It doesn’t matter if your door is locked or not.

You shouldn’t be logging in through a green-screen signon panel at all in that case. At a minimum, you should be logging in through a network authentication process and using BypassSignon for the terminal emulation connection.
