I am amazed by the number of times we see this sort of thing. And even more surprising is that this almost never any followup from the original poster.
We agree it is annoying and we do send a confirmation email when the question is asked as well as an email when someone adds an answer or discussion. We keep trying to weed out questions that aren’t questions but unfortunately we cant catch everything.
I was thinking of a confirmation e-mail that forced the question asker to confirm the question in order to make it public, so questions posted using fake e-mail addresses would be filtered out.
A question that is not really a question wouldn’t be a problem as long as the question asker responds when asked for clarification.
There is no question here.
You need to ask a question, and provide enough details (including the Oracle product being used, OS and any other useful detail).

Yes, it is amazing.
I’ve been thinking of a way to avoid this.
I think many people use fake e-mail addresses when posting their questions, and many times they just forget they posted the question here.
Maybe a confirmation e-mail sent to the question asker after the question is posted could help in this regard.

Thanks (Sean ?),

Just a thought.
