Q:
USB Drive not usable
I have a 250GB hard drive that I have installed Windows XP Pro on to get it formatted. AFter it was formatted, I put it in an external HD enclosure so it could be attached to another device as a USB HD. I can see the drive in Device Manager, but not in My Computer nor in Disk Management. How do I get the drive to show up with a drive letter and be usable?

Windows Xp setup will default to a NTFS Partition. You will not be able to see this drive if your current operating system is setup with a FAT32 partition, you will either need to convert your existing FAT32 partition to NTFS or re-partition your usb drive with a FAT32. your best running fdisk at the command prompt, just make sure you get the right drive ;o)
