 Usage of SUBJECT field in SNDDST command
AS/400, AS/400 commands, iSeries programming commands
Is there anyway, so that I can get an excel file (*doc) in a email with subject lengh greater than 44. I could not understand what is the difference between DSTD and SUBJECT field in SNDDST command. How can we use the SUBJECT field of SNDDST as an actual subject of an email from AS400. I did an CHGDOCD, but it does not takes more than 44 chars in DOCD parameter.

Please help.Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the description, or DSTD, has a maximum length of 44 for the subject header in your email. The SUBJECT parm relates to your document(s). I do not believe you can change the length via the green screen or iSeries Nav.
