Uploading xml files to my website

Hello, 

I am trying to verify Bing Webmaster. 

I have downloaded BingSiteAuth.xml, opened it in notepad and tried to save it - as I would htm files but it will not work. 

Can someone please give me step by step instructions....SIMPLE - for I am not computer savvy. Much appreciated as this will stop me from going insane

Hello

I believe you will have to use an FTP up-loader such as FileZilla to place the xml file directly onto your server. And Don’t open that in Notepad..

    If you have FileZilla installed in your system then connect to your site and move this XML file to the required directory of your site.
