Upgrading from Lotus Notes 7.0.1 to 8.0.1


Lotus migration, Lotus Notes 7.x, Lotus Notes 8.x

I'm planning an upgrade from Lotus Notes 7.0.1 to Notes 8.0.1. The current school of thought is that we will install 8.0.1 on a new Notes Domino server, then migrate the users and databases over from the old server to the new one. We will also be changing our domain/OU. Does anyone know if there is a preferred process to accomplish this?

Can you please clarify that changing the domain and OU structure is required, or is it just something you think you need to do? If it is a requirement, this is going to be a very complex migration. If it isn't needed, then this can be quite simple. Please augment your question and we'll see how we can help.
