The total capacity of your system is 2GB: this would require removing all memory from either/both DIMM slots and replacing with new 1GB (each) sticks.

If you add 1 DIMM, you'll either end up with 1.25GB (1ea 1GB + 1ea 256MB) or 1.125 GB (remove 1ea 128MB DIMM, add 1ea 1GB DIMM, total will be 1.125GB). Again, I would suggest maxing out your RAM: believe me, the UNIX underpinnings of MacOS X will appreciate it...

Thanks for the help! I went to the site you recommended. I have just one more question. I want to get the 1gb memory, Is that just one chip? Do i remove the old memory chip and replace that with this new one? When you spoke of capacity, did you mean I should use both slots therfore requireing two 1gb chips? thanks again for your help!
