 Upgradation of raid
Domain Controller, RAID, RAID 1, RAID 5
hi all how can i upgrade my raid level 1 to level 5 without loss any data and policy in domain controller regards mukesh

First of all, you should always do a full backup before the changes. The RAID system suppose to be transparent so it shouldn't affect the data or policy on your domain controller. The first step is to break the mirror of the RAID1. Then you can create the RAID5. Please be aware that RAID5 requires 3 disk drives minimum.

RAID come in all sizes & flavors. What RAID are you using? Hardware based or software based? How many drives are there in you system and what is their configuration?
