Updating Excel formulas

I am using Excel 2007 on a Windows 7 system. Since I was upgraded to Windows 7, my formulas are not automatically updating when I copy and paste. My calculation settings are set to Automatic. Also, nothing happens when I press F9. The only way I can get the formula to provide the correct value is if I manually go into the formula into the new cell and change one of the characters. This is particularly common with my spreadsheets shared on Sharepoint. Appreciate any help, thanks
