Update SharePoint AD Info
Hi,
we need to read/update AD information from SharePoint.
When creating a new DirectoryEntry instance, we have to use the overload
which requires a username and password to read and update. This works fine.
What we would really need is to use the signed on user to query /update AD.
When we use a DirectoryEntry instance without passing username and password
an exception is thrown.
Any ideas?

It is a good idea to read/update AD information from SharePoint. Expand on your topic, it will be thrill to let Sharepoint users maintain their own profiles.
However, the sad thing is there are no OTB solutions to do that. May be it is viable suing code.
If are in urgent, take a look at <a href="http://www.sharepointboost.com/ad-self-service.html">Sharepoint AD Self Service</a>, which can do that in a state-of-the-art level.
