I have 2 main tables, 1 main form and 4 subforms. The subforms all come from the same table. The subforms are in tabular format, and to fit all the fields I put each subform on a seperate Tabs. The Key Control Number ([Key Contl_Num]) is the Field that appears in each subform and on each tab. My problem is, that when I add an additional Key Control Number, not all tabs update unless I exit that record and return to that record. I tried refresh and save this does not work. When I use the "F9" key, this works. Can anyone tell me how to incorporate the "F9" key into the After Update Event, or any other way to update all the tabs without going off the record. Thanks

I used the me requery in the lost focus event for the ([Key Contl_Num]) field, and it would not let me off that field when I tabbed. What happens when I hit "F9" after updating the ([Key Contl_Num]) field, the ([Key Contl_Num]) field in all the tabs are updated, but the numbers are re-arranged to descending. When I enter the ([Key Contl_Num]) and go off the sub form and go to the top of the main form and page down and back up again, the ([Key Contl_Num]) in all the tabs are updated and the number remains in an ascending order. My main goal is to automate the later, where all the tabs are updated with that ([Key Contl_Num]) and the numbers remain in ascending order. Thanks
