Can I ask a question? what do you mean when you want to update the server disk? are you using the same size of hdd to update your server or is it at larger capacity hard disk?

because from what I know example you are using 3 20gb hdd now, and you want to add new 5 hdd which is 30gb, you will need to reconfigure the RAID again.

my next question is what RAID are you using?

the best is always to backup your data before you do any migration.
