We have been unsuccesful in securing a data connection with our vendor's FTP server. The failure is always during establishment of the data connection when SSL is enabled. On our end, we've tried sending test files through two different server sources, and still were unable to connect with our vendor's ftp server. We can successfully FTP when not in a secure mode (no SSL).
Our specs:
- Protocol we're using is FTPS
- Mainframe is client
- Both "script" and command line fails
- We use standard FTP port 21 for control
Vendor's specs (limited known info):
- requires passive mode and only one data connection port (30925 on production server and we've been testing with 4992 on their test server)
Does anyone have any comments or suggestions???? Would really appreciate anyone's comments or suggestions, since this has been a really big problem/issue for me since December!!!!
Thanks alot,
Karen
