When I'm using my Windows 7 Ultimate x64, I honestly can't do anything with the existing instance of my SQL Server 2008 R2. I made the mistake of uninstalling some requirements related to SQL Server before running the main uninstaller.

It seems like the uninstaller is doing its job (it's saying all done) but then nothing happens. "Program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server" folder is still showing 700 Mb of content.

How should I remove SQL Server 2008 R2 manually?
