uninstallation problem VMware Server & console


VMware, Servers, VMware Player, Windows Vista, Windows Vista installation

situation:iinstalled VMware player but i formatted my harddisk and then i downloaded VMware Server free(with reg.key and installed it in WIN vista ultimate 32.During installtion wizard it gives me Error(Rolling back action)then the final Error was (The wizard was interrupted before the VMware Server components could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified.To complete installtion at another time,Please run setup again.)
i ran setup again but the same Error i got every time.i am so much puzzeld with the error.
Q)what should i do now?please help me.

Hello,

> VMware Server is not supported under Windows Vista. It is only
> supported under Windows 2000 SP3+ and Windows 2003 . Your best bet is
> to get Microsoft's Installer Cleanup Utility to gracefully remove the

In order to run Virtual Machines download the VMWare Workstation which does work on Windows Vista (I current use it on Windows Vista).

Copy loadperf.dll to \windows\sytem32\

download from here or look in google

There should be some installation logs left on the system. Find them and read them. You may also want to check on the VMware forums.

Install loadperf.dll file in your windows\system32

Then try to install vmware again.
