Hi there, Whenever I am trying to send mails using outlook or outlook express, mails which are having more than 25 lines are not going outside my outbox and sitting there, checked all the options like deleting, recreating the account but still was not able to resolve. Can anyone tell me , what can I do next?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Hello,

Have you got an antivirus program installed and firewall, you need to check to see if the antivirus or firewall is stopping the outgoing mail, if you have blocked the outlook program this will not let you send, check this first and let me know.

Regards

Darren Wood

Have your tired the tired the Inbox Repair Tool? Try this and then copy the contents of the email that is stuck in the Outbox into another mail, send this, and then delete the mail that is stuck. We have found that this works.

I assume from wording that you do not have any problem if e-mail is less than 25 lines ?? In this case you are probably hitting a server limitation on size of e-mail allowed. Formatted in HTML, or even Rich Text, 25 Lines will give a surprisingly large e-mail size, especially if you are including a signature with logo, or any other such. Check server for limitations on e-mail size, and see if you can get them adjusted. Also try sending same e-mails in plain text.

Do you have SBC Dsl? They have done port blocking and have turned off port 25, i have still seen it work with small emails and then break with larger ones...if that is the case i would try changing my outgoing mail port to 587 instead of 25, if that doesn't work, and this is email persae from a web hosted domain, contact them and ask them if they have changed their outgoing port on you...also check you SPA (secure password authenication) because often i have seen that checked and things not work just right (it is under tools>accts>mail>"acct name") also you might want to try putting a check in the box for "my server requires auth." in the same spot (no need to click advanced)...i have seen that not checked before and cause stupid things like this to happen...the "my server requires auth." has to do w/ outbound Authenication...it will send the same user and pass to the server to allow it to go through (the downside or "receive" already has the auth)...also when you try to click send/receive when it is stuck in outbox, do you get an error message??? nomally you will, if you do please post and i will give you more info

you might have a problem with your tcpip stack... try removing your network connection from device manager and then have it find and reinstall the device again... Then try to send the messages again. Do you have your anti-virus set to scan outbound messages? Try temporarily disabling it same with your antispam software.

How is your profile setup? Pop3/smpt? Exchange profile? Imap? RPC over HTTP?

Also, you may want to contact your ISP to see if they have any sort of alternate SMTP port number. The default, 25, is blocked a lot of the time and many ISP's have set up alternate ports to send mail. Jenny For more on domains and DNS Visit my ITKE blog, called Domain Highway
