Unable to remote connect to a server using server name.
I have a virtual server that have a different IP address than the host server. I was not successful when trying to connect to the VS using the its computer name. However, I can connect successfully using the IP address of the computer. What are the steps for troubleshooting and fix the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thx!

Hello, Sounds like you need to set up a pointer record (A record) in your DNS to map the IP address of your VS to your VS name. Good luck!

I agree. Set up a host record in your DNS for the Vs side of the server. Then Ping the name and not the IP. IF that doesn’t respond, then replicate your domain.
Good luck.

Sounds like you have selected the specific ip in the Virtual Server settings. Instead, try “All Unassigned” instead. This will try all ip’s to see what is listening on port 25.
