Hello, A Cisco 2800 router came to the company with power supply problems. Our technicians changed the power supply and the initial problem was solved (it didn't started at all). Just to check what the console displayed at boot up, I saw this output

I was wondering what can imply that the eeprom can't be read. I haven't been able to do other tests since the equipment just came to have its power supply changed, so I don't have the password or anything to dig into my question. Do you have any ideas of what this warning could mean? Best Regards, Faith9

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It seems some problem with the memory, are you sure none of the modules are added to the router, After the posted sequence what do you get in final output is it in romon mode if so then why don’t you try to upgrade the router with new iOS by using xmodem command, it would be god if you post more details of the router.

Cheers

Yasir

Hello, Thank you for your reply. Well, currently I don’t have authorization to do any other change to the device, since it came to us just to change the power supply. I was just checking that the power supply problem was solved (and so the device started) when I found this output. I will do what you recommend if the client authorizes us to do anything else to this router. Even if we don’t get to check the device again, I want to know the reason for this output to appear just to know the information for the future. Here is all the output at the boot up
