Unable to migrate Microsoft Outlook mailbox after Exchange migration
I am migrating from Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange Server 2003. I have followed the steps for Exchange Server deployment. I started to move mailboxes using the Exchange Task Wizard. The task finished successfully. However, one user’s Microsoft Outlook mailbox remains in the old server. I now have the Exchange tab for the user disabled and two mailboxes in the information store. One Exchange mailbox is 0 KB and another mailbox is 30 MB. I can’t purge or reconnect this mailbox. What can I do?

Answer Wiki:
Sometimes when you move a mailbox a "piece" of that mailbox is left behind although the user will no longer connect with it. They will connect to the "second" one with actual data on the new data store to which you moved it. The old one will purge off after thirty days or you can manually purge it.
