Unable to install WinRunner7.0 on Winxp.
If you try to start or install an MS-DOS-based or a 16-bit Windows-based program on your Windows XP-based computer, you may receive an error message that is similar to one of the following: 16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem path to the program that you are trying to start or install C:WinntSystem32config.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. I am trying to install winrunner 7.0 on a winxp computer and I am getting the above error, so can anyone help me with this.

Hello there, I have come across this problem my self on some of the work station in my company, this occurs when the autoexec.nt or the confignt is missing or corrupt what you will have to do is expand the files, here is the command line prompt for you. :i386autoexec.nt_ C:windowssystem32autoexec.nt or what ever file name it is telling you that can not be accessed in 16 bit mode make sure that you have your windows CD or the location of the i386 if it is on a network share. Hope that this solves your problem. Regards Darren
