Unable to Edit Meeting Requests as Organizer – Outlook 2003

I am the meeting organizer of a recurring meeting. I am unable to modify it. When I open the meeting, I look as if I was sent a meeting invite and only have the ability to select Accept/Decline. I also see that the IMAP mail client I also have setup on Outlook has been invited to this meeting (though I KNOW I never invited that email address).

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Make sure you have the correct account set up as the default for outlook. You may have the IMAP set up as default which I could easily see causing this to happen when you are trying to send invites from the other account.

Well that's a new one! I have seen meetings that show one of the attendees as the organizer when they opened the meeting request, but not "me on behalf of me"! I am trying to remember how we resolved the attendee winding up as the organizer somehow. I know in one case I had the attendee move all her calendar items to a .pst and back to the mailbox and that fixed it. In order to do this we had her set the calendar view to all active meetings which is a tabular view. Next we did a control-all inside the list to select all, right-clicked and chose "move to folder" and chose the .pst folder. We moved them all back using the same steps. MS told me about this method because they said it kept the recurring meetings linked during move out of and back to the original calendar. Worth a shot!

I am having the same issue. I have pinned it down to it happening only on re-occuring meetings and not with just single events. In our environment it only happens when you send to a distribution list on the unix side of the house, It only happens with primary calendar as I tested with sub calendars and do not have the issue. I have a call open with microsoft but haven't gotten any resolution. Any help is greatly appreciated. And I can certainly provide more detail. This is my first time posting an entry so if this doesn't get through or I dont respond, please email directly to smctagg@cray.com. Thanks.
