Unable to create/delete rules in Lotus Notes Client 8.5
getting Error: "Field is too large (32K) or Views column & selection formulas are too large " while trying to creat modified any rules in lotus notes client 8.5

Try to create an Event Announcement instead these do not expand groups. The caveat to the Event Announcements is that the recipient cannot accept or decline these notices, they can only add to their calendar. OR

I am unable to add a new rule where a copy of my emails is sent to another email account. I get an error message ” Notes error: Formula Error”. Any suggestions?

The likely issue is that the Calendar profile is corrupt. This would mean that the parts of the RULE that are behind the scenes do not work. The link below will explain this better and faster than me typing it out.

But create a Button to delete the calendar profile (this way you can keep it and send it to others when needed) and then send it to the user. Once the calendar profile has been deleted. Try and create the new rule again.

32 k is a technical limit, what I would try is :
1 – Ensure that the rules you are creating does not expand 32 000 characters (roughly)
2 – Check that the calendar profle is not exceeding that limit itself (notespeek)
3 – Do what Gabe9527 suggested
