Hi, I was using SQL developer since 2 years, suddenly lost all the existing connections.Tried creating new connections, provided all mandatory fields and clicked "Test", it was success. But when tried connecting, no response. Also tried importing the connections, but throwing "java.lang.NullpointeException".

What might be the issue?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Make sure that the SQL Service is running. If it is try telnetting to port 1433 on the SQL Server. If is succeeds then it’s a problem with your app. If it fails, and the SQL Server is listening correctly then there’s a firewall between the machines which is blocking the connection.

Denny,
Not sure if i have put my question in the right way. I’m using Oracle SQL Developer for Queying Database. I’m not able to add any new connections, also lost all my existing connections.

A java update recently installed could be causing the problem. I would try reinstalling SQL developer (and updating it if you are not using the latest version).
