Unable to connect to proxy server

When I try to connect to the internet the screen says unable to connect to proxy server. All has been working well for about 2 years. This is just a home wireless network, the other computer works just fine. How do I fix this. am running Windows 7 on a Dell computer

    There are several ways to handle this kind of situation. ! As you did not reveal that either you check with basic commands, like ping/ tracert....try ping each other pc and make sure both r pinging. Try tracert command, generally there are 30 hops and observe how many "Request timed out" is there. These are ways for the basic checking of tcp/ip. Check Firewall rules for both and lastly if there is any anti-virus is installed (hope so) check rules. Also check for virus like emergency basis (MWAV).
