		<description><![CDATA[first of all if you set a static ip on pc, it should be in the same lan segment of the local ip of the router...the private ip should not be the same as the dns...when you set the pc to obtain ip automatically it will definitely receive and ip address but not from the router but from the modem because the router only acts as a switch once you disable the dhcp...also sir, i do think that there&#039;s no need for you to setup an ICS if you have a router coz if the router is actually a switch,a firewall and a gateway by itself if it is just configured properly...it also will act as a DHCP server so in that case, you only need 1 ethernet card on your pc and you&#039;ll just have to plug the other pc&#039;s to any port on your router and all of them will definitely be online...and if your concern is for expansion of the network, you can actually just plug a switch to the uplink port on the router and your pc&#039;s to the switch...NOW, if the router that ur saying is a modem-router then there is a different configuration on that 1 but not too different if you have a separate external modem...also check your browser settings under internet options/connections(you will see in their your concerns about proxy settings)...OK...hope these things have helped you]]></description>
