Is the network card properly installed !! Check first (From Device Manager, not discussing how to check, hope u know that). If it is OK, then check ur setup connection.... however u did not mention what type of connection is it.... either it is broadband/ dial up/ other conn. Although u can call the vendor/ check user id/password if they properly set up.

    Hi Subhendu Sen,

    Thanks for your reply.
I checked the 'device manager', i observe that the drivers are not installed for the following:

    1. Ethernet Controller
    2. Network controller.
    3. PCI Data acquisition and signal Processing controller
    4. PCI Device
    5. PCI Simple communications controller
    6. SM bus controller
    7. Unknown device

Please suggest me what to do next...from where can I get the drivers.

    Regards,
    M

Using another computer (with full internet access) and a flash drive, visit the website for your LENOVO C series and look for Downloads/drivers. I have found that the Ethernet and Networkwork Controllers will normally be the ones that give you your internet access....and then you can browse the internet for the rest (or see if Windows Update will take care of some of those). Make sure you are getting the correct drivers for Windows 7, hopefully your unknown device will take care of itself along the way!

Probably it is brand new and hopefully under warranty/guarantee whatever also. Basically this C series made for Windows 8 (both 340 & 440) and their HW also compatible for 8, however, 7 can be loaded and driver can be found.... Why r u not asking ur vendor to provide all of these drivers in a CD/DVD. If the vendor unable/ not turns up, then dnld the related driver from here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_IN/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS032606. Guessing this PC for ur home use not for office use.
