Two email accounts to share Outlook inbox
My wife and I have our own IMAP email accounts. When I add them to Outlook they appear separately under Mail Folders with their own inboxes. How can I force them to deliver mail to the Inbox under Personal Folders and not show as separate email accounts? I am running Outlook 2007.

Answer Wiki:
You probably can't. When using IMAP the emails reside on both the server and the client, so if you tried to combine the mail into a single folder your mail would be uploaded to her mailbox and her mail would be uploaded to your mailbox. If you were using POP3 then they would be delivered to the same folder by default.

This discussion is “in the neighborhood”, but not exactly my situation. Because my wife is right-handed, we need to have our computer set up with two users. We have a new computer, thus the situation arising again.
We have a common email POP3 account. We want to have equal access to the email account, each able to see what’s in the inbox, each able to delete what’s there.
Now, with the new install of OUtlook 2003, when one of us logs on, all emails are downloaded from the server, and when the other logs on, there is nothing left there.

Someone please help us.
