Tuning and viewing SQL Server reports

Q:
Tuning and viewing SQL Server reports
I have developed several reports and deployed on the remote server. While running reports on a browser, it takes about 20 to 30 seconds, but when i browse the same on the remote server, reports get displayed in 5-8 seconds. Do I need to tune my server to enhance its performance, and how should I do so?

My first question becomes how much data is in the report, and how fast is the network between you and the report server?

My second becomes does the report take the same amount of time to run every time, or just some times?
