Trying to IPL an 170 server boots but no log in
iSeries, IPL, IBM 170 series server, Initial Program Load, Boot failure
I am trying to boot an old 170 I can get it to boot, but cannot get a log in. I have swaped cabels,, terminals, bricks and tryed bootind from the A and D sides... no luck

Hi,

How have you got the terminal set up? I assume you're using a twinax terminal? You should have it set to address 0 on port 0. Do you have any SRC messages on the machine? Is the orange system attention light on?

What do you mean by bricks?
