 trying to install oracle 10g
I'M TRYING TO INSTALL ORACLE 1OG ON AN ACER 5520-5334 COMPUTER AND IT HAS BEEN GIVING ME A PARTICULAR ERROR 'NO VALID DEVICES FOUND ....... etc. from my research it seemed like the versions of red hat os ( rhel 3.0,4.0) were not compatible with my computer. pls can any one give me advice on what red hat software will work and how to go about the installation process.

Oracle 10g R2 (10.2.0.1) compatible on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 4 Update 2 i.e. RHEL AS 4 U2. It is also possible to install Oracle 10g R2 (10.2.0.1) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 3 Update 5 i.e RHEL AS 3 U5 and regarding R1 i.e Oracle 10g R1 (10.1.0.3) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 4 i.e. RHEL AS 4 and Oracle 10g R1 (10.1.0.3) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 3 Update 5 (RHEL AS 3 U5). U not mentioned actual what release and which red hat version with update ! Remember, Fedora Core 3 & 4 never supports.
