Trying to find an adequate backup solution
I manage a network for a small company, but we have very big storage requirements.  I have to backup a file server that requires 600+ gb of storage.  I have external drives for temporary storage, but to store it permanently I have been burning the backup to dvd's. Unfortunately it is now taking about 70 dvd's to store it.  What is the best way to handle this?

Software/Hardware used:
server 2003, dell power edge 1800

Answer Wiki:
You may want to consider investing in a professional backup storage system.  I work for the government and we use NetApp.  They have some videos on You Tube, and a channel, that you may be interested in viewing and see if it is what you are looking for.  Good luck in your decision.

Hi,
I use a HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape autoloader with Arcserve.
It’s working great. You can setup your library with several tape to backup, in full or/and differential mode, alone during the week.
let me now if you want more precisions.
