Troubleshooting unexpected power failure on a Windows 2008 Server
Last night my Windows Server 2008 had an unexpected power failure. It has redundant power supplies and plugs into two different UPSed power sources. So how did it restart all on its own? When I logged in (it was on) it said the last time this machine was shut down unexpectedly and asked why. How can I trouble shoot this?

Software/Hardware used:
Windows Server 2008, Power Edge 1150 Rack Mounted

Answer Wiki:
Check the System Log for more information. The system may have blue screened and simply restarted itself. More information about what happened should be in the System log.
